Demo 1
Kitty Tartan, the latest creation by Dan Zen (@DanZen), which lets you choose a beautiful Tartan made from the colors of your Kitty!
Demo 2
Gord Wall of CBC will demo the front-end of the CBC Hamilton (@CBCHamilton) site where responsive design was used. There were challenges to making the site *pure* responsive design and we had to accept trade-offs in order to end up with the current beta site.
Demo 3
Jerad Godreault (@JeradGodreault) will demo SmartMed, which recently took first place at the national eHealth conference. SmartMed is an end to end prescription adherence tool – it allows for the electronic capture of a prescription regime and translates it into a medication schedule on a smartphone. The App then issues reminders and tracks the progress of the patient through the course of treatment.
Demo 4
Dale Mugford (@dalemugford) of BraveNewCode (@BraveNewCode), A Canadian WordPress plug-in company with offices in Vancouver, BC & Hamilton, ON, will be demoing WPtouch Pro, the premium version of their highly successful, acclaimed Top 5 WordPress plug-in. The demo will showcase standout unique features of WPtouch Pro, which successfully received SRED funding credits from the federal government for its innovative and groundbreaking capabilities.
Demo 5
Rahulbai Patel will demo “MyPCS”, which recently took third place at the national mHealth conference. MyPCS is a consumer-oriented “Product Safety Checker” that individuals can use at the point of purchase to make decisions about over the counter medications and remedies. The App uses a smartphone camera to scan the product barcode and issues a query to the patient’s online personal health record as well as to online pharmaceutical databases provided by the Canadian Pharmacists Association.
Demo 6
Eric West, President of Isis Healthcare will demo. BeDoc_Best Practice™ is a ‘practice assessment’ system that enables physicians to gather data, at the point of care, on Smartphones – thereby feeding a database that spawns ‘evidence-based’ Continuing Health Education. This system has been adapted to address a pressing need in school boards – to gather in-situ data on children with behavioral issues, including Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD. BeDoc_Student™ has been successfully deployed in 7 school boards (approx. 500 schools), helping to assess and eradicate behaviours that impede learning, as well as yielding valuable skill development data that facilitates the evolution of each child’s Individual Education Plan.
