The evolution of cloud computing has not gone as expected. There are more Hybrid compute environments than ever before and Cloud computing has taken off in an unexpected direction. The workloads on today’s cloud were not envisioned when the cloud delivery model was developed. We will discuss the current state of cloud computing and emerging trends.

Rodney Yip – Business Continuity and Resiliency Services manager with IBM Canada?s Business Advisory Centre

Rodney Yip is a Business Continuity and Resiliency Services manager with IBM Canada’s Business Advisory Centre. Leveraging over 30 years of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity experience, Rodney brings a pragmatic approach to resolving industry issues. His experience includes Business Resilience plan development and execution, resilience product development and recovery team management.

Rodney is an advisor to IBM Canada’s Crisis Management team and the IBM Corporate Citizenship & Corporate Affairs team. He on the Board of Directors for the Disaster Recovery Information Exchange (Toronto Chapter) and is on the Advisory Committee for Canada’s Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction, working under the auspices of the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction. Rodney is a founding member of the Private Sector Working Group within Canada’s Platform.
