Freelance WordPress Developer

Start Date: Immediately

Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation currently has an opening for a freelance work opportunity to install and customize a WordPress-based website.

This is a great opportunity for an undergraduate to build their online portfolio, and enhance their resume with a high-profile, local organization.

This is a paid position. The projected completion date is January 2014.

RESPONSIBILITIES

– Server configuration
– WordPress install to development site
– Deployment
– Module customization
– Theme integration
– Mobile optimization

REQUIREMENTS

– Previous WordPress experience (2 projects minimum, coursework is acceptable)
– Reliable access to a computer and Internet service
– Ability to work off-site with minimal direction
– Previous mobile experience an asset, but not required

The details of work process are to be determined with input from the successful incumbent. The selected candidate will need to be available for regular meetings with the team at our site office, 40 Wellington St. North, Hamilton.

We understand the responsibility of a student is first and foremost to their education, and we have incorporated a degree of flexibility into this position in order to allow for the demands of coursework and exams.
