Embrace UX now 65% sold out
After 3 weeks of sales, Embrace UX (@EmbraceUX) is now 65% sold out! Interestingly, about 33% of the ticket sales thus far have come from outside of Hamilton – Waterloo, Guelph, the GTA, London, Niagara and New York state. There’s even a few attendees flying in from Alberta!
Just 35 tickets remain, and capacity at the venue is limited.
So if you’re intending to go, please do get your ticket now before it’s too late!
We are also looking for another sponsor – and I should note that the attendee list suggests that this will be an excellent recruitment opportunity.
I’m, for lack of better terms, totally stoked that ticket sales have gone well. Whenever something new is attempted in Hamilton, in the tech and startup community or otherwise, there’s always a bit of apprehension as to whether we can support it, whether we’re ready, and whether it can work here. I’ve heard it called small town syndrome or some variation, but I prefer to think of it as growing pains – disheartening and challenging, but natural and necessary.
It’s fantastic to see that Hamilton can support a higher end UX conference by drawing from the broader region, and it bodes well not just for Embrace UX becoming an annual event, but also the possibility of other higher end educational tech events.
