Join us Tuesday, May 4, 2021, at 12:00 noon for a panel discussion on “Overlays for Accessibility” with accessibility specialists Cam Beaudoin, Martin Courcel, Karl Groves, and Trisha Pokorny.
Guest Speakers:
Cam Beaudoin, The A11y Coder – Founder. Cam brings experience from a career in development and strategic consulting to a casual yet focused approach to digital accessibility. He’s helped teams big and small meet and exceed their accessibility goals.
Martin Courcelles – As a person with lived experience, having to use access technology every day, Martin is able to explain how to improve web properties to ensure accessibility for all. Martin brings over 15+ years of expertise in the realm of screen reading technology. He’s a subject matter expert at using JAWS, NVDA, and Narrator on the PC and Voiceover and Talkback on smartphones.
Karl Groves, Tenon.io – Karl is an IT Consultant and industry expert on Accessibility Testing, Consulting, Training, and Development in finding solutions to complex problems relating to accessible user experience.
Tricia Pokorny – Tricia has spent the last 25+ years advancing a culture of accessibility and inclusion in the workplace. Renowned for having pioneered accessibility in the gaming and lottery industry, her success in employing people with disabilities led directly to an invitation to address the International Labour Organization of the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland. Tricia is currently a working member of the City of Burlington’s Accessibility Advisory Committee.
