PERUVIAN IT BUYER seeking Wimax, IT security, infrastructure, mobile banking apps, etc. Data General Corporación’s General Manager will be in Ottawa (June 8th) and Toronto (June 12th) to meet with highly innovative Ontario technology companies interested in exploring opportunities in Peru. Peru is a dynamic market-oriented economy with high growth potential, and currently Canada’s second largest partner in Latin America and the Caribbean. 1.      External plant infrastructure for the implementation of Wimax (802.16mHz)

2.      Wimax network access devices (use of USBs or Routers)

4.      Infrastructure solutions for deployment of fiber optic network to be used for data transmission through fixed broadband and to complement last-mile wireless solutions.

$18.9-million SMART FUNDING program available to manufacturers in Southern Ontario. The fund enables manufacturers to commercialize technologies, enter new markets, invest in sustainable and green energy, purchase new equipment and technology, as well as improve efficiency. To be eligible for the program, applicants must be manufacturers with 15 to 1000 employees, and must be looking to invest in product and process improvements that will develop and expand their export opportunities.

®      Amount: Projects selected for funding will receive 33.3% of eligible project costs, up to a maximum of $75,000.

®      Timeline: Application window is open now until March 31, 2014 or until all $18.9M of funding is allocated. Project can be a maximum of 12-months in length.

®      Eligibility Factors: Incorporated for 2 years, minimum of 15 employees up to a maximum of 1000 employees, and with a manufacturing operation in Ontario. Not necessary to be a member of Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters (CME) to be eligible. Limited funding so only the best projects will be selected for funding. Companies predominantly engaged in trading, exporting or distribution are not eligible.
