StartupDrinks tomorrow Thursday October 11th

Startup Drinks will be taking place at The Winking Judge tomorrow Thursday October 11th from 6:00pm until late. In addition to the great service and laid back atmosphere, The Winking Judge offers the best on-tap microbrew selection in Hamilton! In fact, if you try enough of their selection, 25 in 2 months, they’ll even put your name on the wall (they call it an “irish coffin”).

StartupDrinks Hamilton is a monthly presentation-free and sponsorship-free networking event for Hamilton’s startup and technology community to make connections over drinks and relax a little! Feel free to talk about projects, ideas, funding, technology… or just shoot the breeze! We meet on every 2nd Thursday of the month @ 6pm until late.

I’ve been really enjoying the conversations at these things lately. Especially when you get some of the more experienced (product) entrepreneurs in the area coming out and sharing what they know. It helps make sure that the vibe of the event isn’t just a piss-up or a card-sharing networking event, but also a place where you can learn valuable things from people you respect by giving honest feedback to one another. Mind you everyone in the tech and startup world is just as welcome, from software developers, students, lawyers, accountants, marketers, investors – everyone has a skill to contribute, and it’s a laid back networking event for us all to get to know one another. Even if you’re just curious about startups in general or want to get to know the tech community in Hamilton, the community is friendly and I hope you feel welcome to come out and meet people.
