Kallergis Consulting announces Crate 1.01

crateHamilton, Canada – Kallergis Consulting Limited announces Crate 1.01, on sale until the 4th of July to celebrate the release. Crate 1.01 is a music player, a remote control, a Jukebox, and a media server that can do things no other app can.

Any device with a recent browser on your network can:
* Get access to the music in your library using a web browser
* Browse and playback your music remotely
* Control whats playing on the Crate server
* See and add to the playlist on the server

Your iPod speaker dock is not complete without Crate. No other app does what Crate can do. Want to let your friends help with music selection? Crate takes requests.

Crate blows the other remote control, and Jukebox apps out of the water because it has more advanced technology. it does not need to be installed on every device. It works on almost everything, without needing to install anything on clients. It’s also faster. And it does more.

Crate can be remotely controlled by any device with an HTML 5 capable web browser because it has a built in web server to talk to other devices on your private network.

When you connect into it, you can browse the library, push songs onto the playlist, and play tracks locally, and fully remotely control the server.

You only need to run Crate on one device, and all other devices can talk to it. There aren’t any other apps out there that can do what Crate does, and Crate does it easily, smoothly, and quickly.

Aren’t you tired of buying remote control apps that you have to install on all of your devices to get them to do anything? Then, you need to buy the equivalent for all your devices platforms if you want to use them together, assuming it’s even available. All of this, only to have to spend time keeping them all on the same version so they’ll work.

Forget that nonsense. Buy Crate once and be done with it!

Crate also works just like the built in Music app, so there’s no reason not to trade up to it. Get it now for the introductory low price! The price goes up soon.

You can connect to Crate with any HTML5 browser. Once connected, you can browse the host’s music library, and push items onto the host’s playlist.

If you connect with a browser that supports m4a audio, (like Safari, Chrome or Internet Explorer 10) you can listen to music files on clients that connect in, as long as the files are not DRM encoded. Try it out and see. It plays nice with phones, tablets, and computers.

When you’re running Crate, your device is the server. Plug it into a stereo, and control what’s playing on it with almost any other device. Devices connecting to Crate do not need to have Crate installed because they communicate with the same language the Internet uses.

Note that for Crate to be available for incoming connections it has to be running. To host a party, plug your device into power, hook up some speakers, and share the name or IP of the Crate device with others on your network.

Crate works best on devices with an A5 chip or better. Older devices work, but may take a little longer to convert some music files to stream.

If you’ve read this far, you’re getting to the really cool stuff. You can use Crate without a wi-fi network, if you have an iPhone or iPad with a data plan. Turn ‘Personal Hotspot’ on, and then start Crate. Anybody that connects to your hotspot can access Crate by navigating to 172.20.10.1 A cool application for this is to use Crate at a Park, or in a car!

This works great, but keep in mind that any client connected will be able to access the Internet through your plan.

Check out our other app if you’re interested in software development, or want to support small independent developers. It shares lots of the Crate DNA, so it’s equally awesome. It’s called Server, and if you’re a programmer wanting to try something new, it’s for you.
