Clearcable Networks Launches CDN and Authentication Services

Hamilton, ON August 27, 2015 – Clearcable Networks is pleased to announce the September 1st production launch of its Canadian Content Distribution Network (CDN) and Authentication Services.

The CDN offers television programmers and service providers an alternative means to transmit and receive traditional linear digital content and live over-the-top streaming content across the country by employing a distributed network of edge caches that move live content closer to the subscriber network. The service will be particularly attractive new technology service providers and specialty or multicultural programmers need a means to distribute content. Moreover, the underlying technology, coupled with Clearcable’s Authentication Services will enable locally-branded OTT portals that include live, local community content, select programmer and live streams, and Go product streaming services for authenticated and authorized subscribers. Furthermore, Clearcable’s Authentication Services provide standalone Identity Provider Services for single-sign-on to various Go products with secure integration to service provider subscriber data.
