Thank you to Vehikl for being our sponsor for this event. There will be pizza and beverages available for all attendees.

Canadian New Media and Hamilton Arts Award winner, Inventor Dan Zen, will take you through a live coding session using FOUR techniques to:

  1. Pass parameters traditionally or as a single configuration object
  2. Pass in dynamic parameters allowing the function to pick
  3. Use ZIMON – like JSON but stringifies any type of object
  4. Minify only code that is in the app – tree shaking (distilling)

If you have not checked out ZIM yet (https://zimjs.com), please do! The talk will quickly introduce some basics of coding on the canvas and examples of Particle Emitters, Tiling and Style for canvas will be used to demonstrate the FOUR GOLDEN FUNCTIONS! Bring your colleagues!
