Ackroo moves HQ to Hamilton amid tight Ottawa talent market
Ottawa-based tech company Ackroo has moved its headquarters from Ottawa to Hamilton “after it struggled to find the talent it needed to grow locally,” according to a report in the Ottawa Business Journal.
Ackroo, which develops customer loyalty solutions for brands such as Husky Energy and Landmark Cinemas, currently employs 25 people in Hamilton with plans to increase its headcount.
CEO Steve Levely, in correspondence with the OBJ, said that finding the necessary talent it needed to grow was the company’s primary issue in Ottawa.
